The first time I heard Stephy speak, it was at a National Honor Society induction ceremony at my daughter's high school. I felt chills up and down my arms as Stephy spoke belief into each high school student and empowered them to use their unique gifts to make a positive impact on the world around them. I went to work the next day and told my principal that our middle school needed Stephy too. She served as a guest speaker at our Martin Luther King Jr. assembly and had the whole gym loudly singing the chorus to "We Shall Overcome" by the end of her talk. Once again, I experienced chills. When someone has the ability to speak authentically from the heart with hope, vulnerability, honesty and wisdom in a way that students walk away with the courage to lead, you want to tap into that empowerment any chance you get.

Author, Loving My Actual Life and Co-Host the Our Time to Rise Podcast Stephy helped me develop my leadership abilities consulting with her in my years as a principal. With her leadership as a guide, we were able to make our school a more accepting, just, and inclusive place for students to thrive. If you want to grow your leadership capacity and create better cultures for your environment, I strongly urge you
to work with Stephy. I will forever be grateful for her impact on my life, and our school.
